To add an icon, you have to click on the "More" button on your front page. There, it will display a list of options for you. Look down them and click "Edit Settings." Once in there, click "Identity" that's under the public heading. In there you will see a "change avatar option," and this will allow you to upload a 50x50 pic as your icon ^_^
